June 3 Another full day

We decided to try something different. We sent home my 25 degree sleeping bag and buy some sheets. It has been 80 to 90 degrees lately and we are still in the south. Summer is here. Our sleeping bags are too warm so we bought two sheets. Last night it was in the mid 40s. I did get cold a few times but we shared Marks bag and managed ok.

Today we had perfect weather for hiking, we experienced incredible views of the Shennandoah Valley. Tom earned his trail name The Beast today because he carried a lot of weight out of Sonya's pack. Probably carried a good fifty pounds. Sonya's trail name is Tender Foot. She had a lot of pain. After 12 miles and watching Sonya slow down to attempt carefully avoiding rocks, which is impossible, we decided to get her off the trail. -this meant a town night. Back to Mill street so EZ could get his prime rib.

Met a great group of young people from the Black Graduate Professional Students. We shared the view at Humpback Rocks. Miles of mountains surrounding us. We may hear from Whitney to do a story

Then to top it off, Trev (Weiss) Thompson and David met us all for dinner. So good to see Trev!!!!!

Sonya and I talked about how out here things rarely go as planned. Often the unplanned events are the best.

We had another great day filled with wonderful friends!!
