July 8 Blessed

We realized last night that we need to take a day off and attempt to do some healing. We have many itchy bites, itching in places that should not itch, a few foot issues...none of which are serious but if we don't address them, they could become so.

We went to church this morning and asked Dave, an elder,if he knew anyone who might be able to give us a ride to a town with a pharmacy. After a powerful sermon, he asked the small congregation A wonderful couple offered to help. They did far more than help. They blessed us with their time, a homemade spaghetti lunch, and some fresh peaches we picked off the trees. Adrian and Mary Jo are both teachers. Adrian is from a family of 16 kids. They have an incredible mountain home where they have Christmas and Thanksgiving. When everyone shows up, they have 82 guests for dinner. We also met Mary Jo's 96 year old mother who was an attorney, unusual for women in her day. She helped many people get asylum in the US. We had a great time. We said goodbye at the bed and breakfast we are staying at tonight.

Jack, the owner of the Bed and Breakfast took us around back to leave our backpacks. This concerned Mary Jo and she called to make sure we were ok. In that call Jack discovered that he is a cousin to Adrian. They have never met but will be getting together soon. It's a small world!

I am humbled by the love that was poured out on us today. We are thankful!!
