Slept good through the rain. It cleared this morning. Hiked a difficult 10 miles to Harmon State Park. Nice swim and lunch. Wanted to hike ten miles to a tower but could not make it. We had several very steep climbs today. The last one was 1000 feet in .7 miles at the end of the day. I am exhausted. We hiked .6 miles to a shelter with a spectacular view of the Hudson and off in the distance we can see the New York City skyline. I'd love to see the city lights but won't be able to stay awake.

Made myself get up and we did see the city lights. Stunning!

Came across a huge beetle. I love our secure tent when I see things like that.
