May 21

We had five miles to complete our 19 mile day and put us in range for the next town. We made it 1/2 mile and in came the thunderstorm. We've been through a lot with the feet and the wet shoes so we thought we would try a new strategy and set up the tent. I was trying to hold up the tarp and Mark is trying to set up the tent. Along come Yukon, Boomer and Squatch and they take the corners of the tarp and hold it up for EZ. We are pretty soaked but our shoes still dry. 6 PM and laying in the tent listening to the rain. Too early to sleep. We have decided to buy some cards in the next town. As we think about our future after the AT, we can only think of how dry we will be and the food we will be able to eat. Still waiting for revelation :)

300 year old oak tree with EZ underneath.

  1. Hey guys! Sarah and I would like to meet up with you in Clark's Ferry/Susquehanna River. It's not too far from us! From yesterday's post it looks like you're about 450 miles from there. Once I get ahold of Brenton I'll work out the details. I hope you have a much dryer day tomorrow!
