August 6. What do you want to do today?

Let's go hiking! We are excited to get going. My brother, Matt, is joining us for the week. He has wanted to do 100 mile backpacking trip and the timing is right. We will park his car in Killington, VT today and start in Bennington. Mark and I are both looking forward to the week with Matt!!

On the trail. Hiked 1.6 miles uphill to the shelter. It's dark and Matt and Mark are looking for a tree for the food bags. I am sitting here in the dark just cracking up at how far away they are with their headlamps. They are looking for the perfect tree......in the dark. Gordon would be proud that it is so far from our tent. Feels fantastic out here in the woods!!!!!0
