August 17 Wake up call...Whites are coming!!

Today was filled with cliff views, river water, a tower, and trail magic. Lamberts ledge was the highlight of the day. We were able to dry out Marks sleeping bag after his platypus leaked. We came across the home of Bill Ackerly who was out of town but left pop and chairs in his yard for hikers and a croquet set.

I have to tell the truth, Mark was whopping me good until the end when I caught him. Even though he knocked me across the field twice, I came back and won the game. He was soooooo mad.

We were happy to see a bear running in the woods. It has been awhile since we have seen one. Still hoping for a moose sighting.

Ended our day early at Hexacuba Shelter due to the rumbling thunder in the distance. We are in our tent listening to the thunderstorm hoping the wind won't blow us away. Big storm. Hope it clears by morning for our hike into Glencliff.

We are planning to slack pack over Mt Moosilauke. We shall see

Gravity
